Today is the big day. MD is having a stake out with me and ELS. We will roast marshmallows, tell scary stories and pillow fight and we will dress up. We will have hotdogs and beans. MD needs to pack up. She will bring her favorite pajamas with hearts on them. Milk Dud time to get in the car. We are going to Hadley’s house. MD brought her bags to the front door. Me and ELS had the tent in our hands. Come on MD, help set up the tent.
MD went in the backyard and looked around. Let’s go set up the tent, she said. Yeah! ELS will by the marshmallows when me and MD set up the tent and the grill. The tent was easy and so was the grill. Then we put out our sleeping bags and pillows. Then ELS came back and we put up our hair. We set up the grill and cooked pancakes for tomorrow. Next we played ball and told secrets in the dark.
We told scary stories again, then tricked the neighbors and caught fireflies. Next we read books and climbed trees and read more books. We also played on ELS’s laptop and looked in the encyclopedia for birds. We did the blindfold. MD bumped into a tree. Me and ELS’s legs hit a bush! Then MD refused to go out! When MD was reading we picked strawberries for breakfast. MD finally came out to buy milk. I bought orange juice. I wanted to do a pillow fight. MD said YES! So, we had a fight! The neighbors woke up and told us to quiet down. We tried to quiet down but we could not! We took some marshmallows outside but the ground was on fire. Me and ELS got buckets of water while MD called 911. The firefighters saved us!
Then we went in the tent and saw a snake eating popcorn. We shoooed it out! MD threw a baseball on it. Me and ELS chased it into a hole. We went in the tent and said, “WE DON’T need TROUBLE!” When we woke up MD wanted to go climbing mountains at

April 2008
Milk Dud is going to give flowers to the poor because Earth Day is very important.
Milk Dud is at the beach. She is going to ride a dolphin and after that she is going to the salon. She is going to get her nails done and is going to get her toes too. And she is going to get her make up and she is going to party out in her P.J.s with our friends and her friends too and Milk Dud. Me and HD and all our friends are going to a movie, a Hannah Montana and then we are going to dance and sing. And then we are going out to the hot dog place and going to a concert. Milk Dud's friends too.
We are going to have hot dogs and hamburgers. And we are going to sleep with Hannah Montana too. And we are all going to watch a scary movie and then we are going to roast marshmallows. And then we went to bed but Milk Dud was so scared that when she woke up jumped on me and HD and she woke up me and HD but we were so tired that we went back to sleep but then Milk Dud got all her friends and they jumped on us. Then they screamed. "What's going on here?" said me and HD.
Milk Dud and me and HD are going on a adventure up the mountains. Then Milk Dud tripped over a rock. Then we ran over to her. She was crying but HD found a cave and we slept in it and we camped out and good thing that we had a safety bag to protect us too.
Milk Dud is stuck on the slide. She says "HELP!" So we put the water on and she did not like it. She was scared. So we turned it off and we got her and we were all safe and did you know how we got her? We pulled her out of the slide and she was safe too. Milk Dud is happy that we are safe and then we are almost home so she can take a big nap.

Hadley & Milk Dud’s Weekend Adventures
Hadley was very excited the weekend Milk Dud came to our house, and she did such a good job caring for Milk Dud she has started babysitting kids in the neighborhood (with mom or dad’s help, of course!)
The weekends at the Dawson household are very busy, so we appreciated Milk Dud’s help. First, Milk Dud made sure we were awake for pancakes on Saturday morning before taking Callie, Hadley’s older sister, to dance class. Saturday was a busy day of errands and playing, then Hadley and Milk Dud headed to a sleepover at her friend Jordan’s (from Mrs. Leicht’s class) house. They did a great job of keeping Milk Dud safe from the gnawing teeth of Jordan’s new black lab puppy!
Sunday was a busy day, too! First, Milk Dud hit the pool at Swim Atlanta for pre-season swim practice for the neighborhood team (Go Windward Waves!). Then, Milk Dud got a visit from our new cousin, Carter. He’s only a couple of months old in this picture, but we’re pretty sure he’ll grow up to play college football just like his daddy!
Then it was time to return Milk Dud to school to start on the next adventure, but we had fun with the visit and would welcome Milk Dud back anytime!
